Information technology sees references to the Java programming language with increasing frequency. It is a rare day when even casual computer users do not see Java mentioned in the media or on the many web pages they access. Mainstream news sources like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal have been carrying substantial articles about Java.[5] The excitement that JAVA has produced has not escaped the database world. Java will be a significant presence in database technology because of JDBC and SQLJ technologies combined with Java’s already established popular features.
